Recognizing Leadership That Shapes Maryland
Southway Builders, Inc. is proud to announce that President Willy Moore has been named to The Daily Record's Maryland 500, recognizing Maryland's most influential and impactful leaders. Willy was selected in the Construction category for his leadership, industry influence, and commitment to strengthening communities across the state.
The Maryland 500 is an annual publication that honors 500 leaders from across Maryland who are shaping the future of business, government, education, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and other key industries. Honorees are selected by The Daily Record's editorial team based on their professional accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to Maryland.
A Legacy of Purpose-Driven Leadership
Founded in 1991 by Paul Littmann, Jr., Southway was built on a foundation of Quality, Dependability, and Integrity. Those core values continue to guide the company today. When Willy Moore joined the company in February 1993 as its first employee and Superintendent, he embraced those values from the very beginning.
Over the next three decades, Willy helped shape Southway's growth from a small firm into one of the region's most respected construction management firms. In 2016, he succeeded founder Paul Littmann, Jr. as President, carrying forward the company's purpose—to serve others to help them achieve their maximum potential—while leading Southway into its next chapter.
Under Willy's leadership, Southway has expanded its impact both inside and outside the construction industry. He founded the Southway Builders Charitable Trust to further the company's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, and in 2025, he led the acquisition of BridgePoint General Contracting, establishing Southway's presence in the Southeast and strengthening its ability to serve clients across the Mid-Atlantic.
Building Stronger Communities
From affordable housing and community facilities to historic preservation and complex commercial developments, Willy has championed projects that create lasting value for clients and the communities they serve. His leadership extends beyond the jobsite through active support of charitable organizations, workforce development initiatives, and industry partnerships that help strengthen Maryland's future.
Willy's dedication to strengthening communities is also reflected through his extensive board and advisory service with civic, nonprofit, and industry organizations, including:
- Greater Baltimore Committee – Serves on the board and co-chairs the Public Safety Committee
- Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition – Serves on the board as Secretary and Advisor Emeritus
- Baltimore Witness – Chairs the Advisory Board
- Roca Baltimore – Serves as a board advisor
- Healthcare for the Homeless Real Estate – Serves as a board advisor
