Southway team members recently volunteered with Vehicles for Change in Baltimore, supporting the organization’s mission to provide reliable transportation and career opportunities to those in need.

During the service day, volunteers assisted with facility improvements, helping clear out old parts, scrap materials, and debris to create a safer and more efficient workspace for the organization’s team. While simple in scope, the effort contributes to the day-to-day operations that allow Vehicles for Change to continue delivering meaningful impact.

Since its founding in 1999, Vehicles for Change has provided more than 8,000 vehicles to low-income families, improving access to employment, education, and essential services. The organization also offers hands-on automotive training for individuals who were previously incarcerated, creating pathways to stable careers and long-term success.

Access to transportation can be life-changing—opening the door to opportunity, stability, and independence. Through its workforce development programs, Vehicles for Change is helping individuals build skills, confidence, and a foundation for the future.

At Southway, our purpose is to serve others to help them achieve their maximum potential. Supporting organizations like Vehicles for Change reflects that commitment—investing in people, strengthening communities, and helping create opportunities that move lives forward.
