On Saturday, April 25, 2026, members of Southway’s Ellicott Mill project team, joined by additional Southway employees, partnered with Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park for a Community Impact Day in the park’s Woodstock area.
Working alongside fellow volunteers, the team helped construct a new trail for hikers and mountain bikers by moving boulders, grading trail paths, and removing invasive garlic mustard to support the restoration of the park’s natural landscape.
Patapsco Valley State Park, which stretches 32 miles along the Patapsco River and encompasses more than 16,000 acres, is one of Maryland’s most valued outdoor recreation areas, offering opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, camping, and more.
Southway is committed to serving others. Not only through the spaces we build, but through meaningful community engagement that creates lasting impact.
