Supporting home-based infusion care required a pharmacy equipped to safely handle specialized medications and sterile compounding. Southway completed the 9,877-square-foot interior build-out for Duke’s Home Infusion Pharmacy, incorporating specialized systems and infrastructure to support the pharmacy’s operations.

The suite features custom mechanical systems with rooftop units and advanced controls, along with a USP-compliant clean room for sterile compounding. Southway also installed an on-slab walkway generator to provide reliable power and system redundancy for the critical pharmacy operations.

The completed pharmacy provides Duke with a dedicated facility to support home infusion services for patients across the region, extending specialized care beyond the hospital and into the community.
