Nearly twice the size of its predecessor, the new Arundel Elementary School was built directly behind the original school to create a modern learning environment while maintaining its connection to the community. Southway delivered the LEED Gold facility, transforming the school into the neighborhood’s early learning center serving infants through second grade.

The new school features a multimedia library, full-service kitchen, gymnasium, collaborative spaces, and a dedicated Early Childhood Development Center, along with outdoor learning and play areas. Southway also coordinated a two-phase site development plan that included new underground utilities and a spacious parking lot, completing the infrastructure needed to support the new school and its expanded role within the community.
