Southway led the comprehensive modernization of the 224-unit affordable senior housing community, upgrading shared spaces, accessibility, building systems, and individual apartments to improve comfort, functionality, and energy efficiency.

The first phase of construction focused on common areas and major building systems, including a new front porch, an upgraded multipurpose community room, and replacement of the roof, air handling units, and heating and cooling systems. The second phase brought improvements into the apartments, including new kitchens, bathrooms, and architectural finishes. This phased construction strategy allowed residents to remain in place with minimal disruption.

Funded through an FHA 223 loan, the project delivered targeted improvements throughout the property while maintaining a thoughtful progression of work from shared spaces to individual residences.
