Southway was selected as the construction manager for the expansion and renovation of Greenspring Montessori School in Lutherville, MD. This comprehensive project was carried out in stages, ensuring the school remained fully operational and secure. One of Southway’s key strategies was to maintain the usual drop-off and pick-up traffic flow, minimizing disruption to the school’s daily activities.

The project’s scope was extensive, covering various areas across the campus. It included adding new classrooms to the Elementary Village at the heart of the campus, demolishing and reconstructing the multipurpose building, and renovating the historic dairy barn. The barn’s upgrades featured new administrative spaces, additional classrooms, and the installation of a new stairway and elevator. Additionally, the project involved structural repairs to trusses that had been damaged in a fire nearly four decades earlier.
