Initially built in 1964 as the Union Hall for Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers, the building ran community programs out of the building until some years ago. The building was declining rapidly and was in great need of repair. The Baltimore Unity Hall project converts the three-story union hall into a 30,000 square foot center for community arts, education, and training.

To find out more about the Baltimore Unity Hall and its mission statement, saying that it is “intended to break down barriers that have traditionally divided the community and to build a healthy, safe neighborhood for all, by providing resources and a venue for creativity” by visiting their website.
