Summer Internship Rotation

Southway’s Summer Internship Program offers a rigorous, hands-on learning experience where classroom knowledge comes to life. Over 12 weeks (May to August), interns rotate through three core roles in the construction management industry, gaining practical experience and contributing to real projects.

Project Engineer, Preconstruction
Build skills in budgeting, takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and pricing.
Project Engineer, Construction
Develop expertise in procurement, cost control, quality, and scheduling.
Assistant Superintendent, Construction
Gain hands-on experience overseeing field operations from mobilization through closeout.

Internship Requirements

We’re looking for ambitious Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors pursuing degrees in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Project Management, who are eager to explore a career in construction management. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, organized, and collaborative, with a knack for problem-solving and decision-making. You should have reliable transportation to visit multiple project sites and a curiosity and drive to learn from every experience.
